I have been trying to get this Sable break job done. but no luck. I got the front done. But the rear is not agreeing with me. The rear caliper's are the same Screw in type as our's. but i turn, and it does not go in. Has anyone done a 92-96 Sable 4 wheel disk break job?(turas is the same thing)

 

just push hard while turning, or get "c" clamp and try pushing it a bit, it may loosen it a bit. other than that, your kinda screwed. it may be just time for new calipers. is there signs of them being seized up?

 

well. it turns fine. just won't go in.

 

You have to spin and push, if that makes any difference. My dad had a hell of a time doing the brakes on our sable when we still had it.
