so just to update, i got a 240Z sold right out from under me and it was only half an hour away. now im looking at 3 Z's and was just wondering what input you guys and gals had for me. any preferences? im emailing these 3 guys now so any details i gain i will add here obviously until i own a Z again. The day will come my friends, free at last free at last!

well there was a this one! but the listing expired. luckily the guy emailed back, it was a project he was working on for his wife, sounds to be in great shape about ready for paint and with a few upgrades to. i tried finding the posting but couldnt, doesnt even matter it didnt have a picture anyways.

In all seriousness Im also on the hunt for a s30 seeing as how I finally got a job.

how could he really want more? he claims he is told in running condition they go for 6k, i seen pristine 240Z's go for MUCH more. and a camper, come one, how much could a used camper really be? not like he is looking for some crazy luxury one. i have a gerneral rule, if a Z isnt running (aka rolling chassis) it is worth 500-1500 depending on whats done to it suspension and resoration wise, rolling chassis that needs a little love on the interior and paint freshening is a 1k buy. full body prep and paint and some interior piecing, closer to 500, full interior or near it and already painted in the not to distant past (so still glossy) and then some perks is closer to the 1500 range.

I dont know how, this is just from previous experiences. I came up on a very similar deal and I offered 1300. The guy wanted 2000.

no you may not! haha. they are good plans, plans to keep the car, flares, coil overs, RB's thining maybe fender mirrors, CF bumpers bre spoiler, thats it for the outside. all those parts will be painted black, though i might paint the car black haha. for the motor, probably build an 8.5 compression motor with hopefully forged internals if i can find a good price, ARP studs all around and an MLS head gasket, then if i got money left buy a turbo outfit and some sort of engine management, if not, through carbs on and run it as i save money for a standalone and turbo setup of my liking. headwork to of course. basically i am hoping to have 4k to spend. but depends on how the talon sale goes, once i finally freaking finish it.

Those are seriously my exact plans, minus the bumpers. I know for sure I wont have enough for the turbo set up of my liking so for now it will get some webers. I am also trying to sell my Chevy pickup to finance it.

Also are you not going to put a front air dam?
