just got layed off

well as the title says, i just got layed off from my 4 year long job. because its a city job, there are politics involved, and they indeed screwed me. the union hopes to keep me in, but its looking not so good. at least they gave me 2 weeks before kicking me out. as it was my boss had to argue for that even, they were gonna escort me off the property. so my love of a job (police car mechanic/outfitter) is gone. sorry to share, but i had to, gotta get it off my mind somehow. anybody need to buy z parts, i need some $$$. i woulda told you guys earlier (tuesday) but the dang site was down. anyone from ratsun.net already knows, so if your there and here, then you get it twice.

i actaully think i got a couple heads around my place if shady doesnt. dont wanna steal business. but my N42 stays mine! lol. i plan to use it on my engine build when ever i decide to do it and however i eventually decide to do it. na/fi. still dont know.

edit: actually, i dont even know if i have a p series head now that i think of it. they might all be older model heads, which wouldnt really matter in the end, they are all almost the same, specially if you re-build, but some people might have a preference issue with that.

no N42 is prefered head IMO becuase it doesnt use th crappy liners, the larger square port exhaust ports, and non hydraulic lifters. flow's almost as good as the p90 i believe. can be built well, also the head on the most powerful datsun L6 i believe (600hp no nitrous) it was on the 75 280Z i beluieve. you have a P series head stock im sure. but lets stop jacking shady's thread and do this threw PM's k!

reply to shady280 parts S130

Sorry about the job situation Shady....

I need 4 items, perhaps you may have:
1) Aux Air Valve (cold start air valve)
2) Overflow radiator Tank and the Bracket
that holds it to the fender
3) Throttle Pos Switchm mine works but
casing is gone
4) Auto Temp Heater Vacuum Control Valve,
mine is sttiff and will not shut-off totaly.
5) My interior seats are clean but the driver
side stiching in seat-bottom is bad, the
passenger side is great but the vynal is
hard... The seats are two tine Silver
front with dard blue surround on back and
the sides of the seats, see video.
6) The carpeting is dark blue but 24 years old
What do you have in replacement carpeting for
the s130 280zx 2+2 ?
7) The Shock towers in the rear have some tear-
spots and are Frey/silver in oolor..
Replacement $ cost for excellent condition?
8) Inflatable Z--spre tire, which is less than
3-years old with gas refill bottle.
9) My radio works but the 1/4 track tape player
does not....Tape Replacement $ cost for one
in clean and excellent condition?
10) The Rear & Side panel are silver, colors okay
but loose and need the twwisst-lock clips.

Sound like my car is crap but its just Old, and needs
attention. See mov-video below for interior.

As I am retired my budget is limited, so if I cant
afford ALL, some things will have to wait.

emmsions are exactly like cali stuff here in the lower mainland of b.c. we use all the identical machines and testing facilities, as well as the specs too. terry ill get you some prices when im done typing this. i have 2 n47 heads, came stock in 78-80.5. theyve been checked for cracks and one is ported polished and mildly decked (no valves and used to be on my motor until i installed the p79) and the other is off a spare motor, its dirty and has the valves and cam still in it. i dont even know what to charge, and shipping is gonna cost some coin for that, so i would advise for that item to use a local usa source. for really heavy stuff going cross boarder isnt worth it. thanks tho. i think i may have found a job, but am gonna wait to make sure im formally layed off. they are trying really hard to save me. turns out i have more freinds in places i didnt even know of. even still ive been getting preped to leave. gotta cover the bases. the new job is just like the old, making police and emergency vehilces, just gonna have to add 10-15 minutes to the commute. or i can make firetrucks from the ground up at another lace that is closer. i havent tried there yet, but im gonna next week. it all depends at that point who offers more cash! the first on is 20/hr. the second, who knows if they are even hiring. thanks for all the positive thoughts and well wishes, and i will keep all of you informed as it goes on. it seems to move daily, so you never know. and i WILL NOT sell the datsuns. and thats just the way it is. luckily the wife supports that one. yay!!!
