I Miss Japan!

I miss being able to pick up some sick rides dirt cheap, Here is my VIP baby that i built my self. She was bad *** before i sold her to come back to the USA, VG30DET, Front Mount, Full 3in Exhaust, Larger turbo, More boost, she would keep up with the GTR's when we went on our cruises for our car club there..

when i got there..it was all about skylines and 280zx, we had a drift track built right before i left so drifting what it was all about. i can honestly say where i was at we did not see any Z31 or older running around. there were several built up Z32 but that was it. A few FD's and Some Scubys

why is the VG so different? different valve covers, things that cover the spark plug holes, intake, turbo set up.... a lot of stuff is different. is that just how they came in that car?

Don't forget this is the VG30DET not the VG30ET from a Z31. When you look at a VG30DE vs. the VG30E there are alot of differences in the way things are arranged and how it looks.

this is the VG30DET not the VG30DETT that you are use to in the Z32, the basic differences were the intake manifold and the twin turbo set up. everything else is the same. many are use to the butterfly set up for the intake on the 300zx twins.

yeah i see the turbo difference. it's still got different valve covers and stuff. i guess that's because they don't need to fit under the plenum. good looking stuff.

oh ****, man i bet you had some cash laying arround too.

i was crusin seattles craigslist for stuff before i left tommorow and i came across a while gloria almost EXACTLY like this one but i cant find it right now.
it had deep dish chroms wheels and the rest of the car was very similar except i think it was a 5spd, either way mods had been done but it was awsome.

i've been trying to find an older japanese car so i can fix it up as a JDM Saloon, similar to this but older, newer ones cost alot and if i need something worked on its easier to get some help on the older engines that wound up every where but i was thinkin of going N/A with a VG30DE

i only know of one in the states, if it was a manual then they had to do the swap. it is an auto only car, if i was going to stay there longer that was my next mod so i could put it sideways, it was a sweet ride with a ton of power.

keep your eyes peeled you'll find some old school bad *** machine in the states, but at the same time you wont have the same driving enviorment, the cops are dicks and most of the towns worth while are a long way away.

are you in the service and were you stationed over there?

Air Force eh? What do you do?
I am talking to recruiters right now.

I think I would miss more than the cars from Japan. But, I do have a little yellow fever. haha.

That's not politically correct at all is it? lmao

Thanks for the service.
