unfortunately, with accidentes, the ins co is the only one who makes out, ununless you keep the car, fix it or sell it for parts. they only give a tiny bit of the personal value of the car--i got 1300 for my 86 NA when they appraised it----ins co's do not see the classsic value of our or any vehicles.
