Great loss for Pantera fans
 

Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed at a nightclub last night. A gunman came in as Dimebag's band Damageplan was playing a song and shot him five times in the head. He then killed three others before being shot by a police officer. I used to listen to Pantera and saw them live once. Dimebag was an amazing guitarist. Nobody even knows why the guy did it. looks to me like VH1 is going to hafta remake some of their top 40 lists to include this tragedy. :(

Since i live in the greater Chicagoland area, I've noticed quite a few ppl that i've come accross that either knew Dimebag Darryl or knew someone that did. Funny how that works out.
A great loss to, obviously his family and friends, Heavy Metal, and the music community.

Yeah, I was in disbelief when I heard about it. It said something in the article about the gunman being upset because he and Vinnie broke up Pantera. That's a damn shame that someone would get so upset over that to actually want to kill somebody.
