I wish my boss could remember what it came out of. He said he use to work on airplanes a long time ago and that he got it a long time ago. I would not mind having 6 of these in my L28E...but I am afraid they would be just a hair too big for the block :paranoid:

Three blind mice,
See how they run.
Where the **** are they going?

Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
Each with a buck and a quarter
Jill came down with two-fifty
The ****in' whore!

Little Miss Muffet
Sat on a tuffet
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her,
And said, "Hey! What's in the bowl, bitch!"

My boss still can't recall what plane it came from...but still, at 5" in diameter I bet it sounded cool.

I just checked the specs on the R-2800...5.8in bore...

Doesnt look much like a radial piston...hmmm

Update

My boss told me he is now pretty sure this piston came from a Pratt & Whitney Radial engine...somewhere in the 1300 range if that makes since to any of you aircraft people.

z-hag Mar 12, 2007 10:45 AM

so, why is it everytime there is a pic of you that you look like the smirking smiley with the shades?????????

Coolie Mar 13, 2007 06:12 PM

1300's were Wright engines...could be a PW wasp series though...

Looking looking...bore 5 3/16 "
