FS: 1982 datsun 280zx $500 - Spokane WA

I have a 1982 datsun 280zx n/a for sale. the engine was rebuilt 207 miles ago, the head and block were both refinished/rebuilt by sunwest automotive in medical lake, washington. the head was shaved .080", it has the full MSA exhaust, a new clutch, a PAllnet fuel rail, new battery, alternator, steering rack, and more. the transmission was just flushed while we had the engine out, lucas gear oil used. It also has brand new teres, with about 215 miles on them.

for the sake of knowledge, the head was NOT warped when we got it shaved, it was for horsepower reasons. the A/C and cruise control were both removed for weight reasons, (and the a/c didnt work anyway) i have 2 sets of t-tops for this car, and extra window glass. i also have a box of extra interior parts, badges, the original radio (don't know if it works) and some of the smaller under-the-hood bits, such as a distributor, (dont know if it works either). i have a title in hand for the vehicle as well.

the powertrain is bulletproof, having been gone through QUITE extensively, (in some places more than once lol) we got the itm pistons and rings when we rebuilt the engine as well. the transmission shifts smoothly, and the engine has incredibly quick response, and quite a lot of power now. it starts in under 3 seconds cold, and almost immediately once warm.

now for the bad-
there are some electrical gremlins in the chassis side, (the fuse for the interior lighting pops when installed) but thats all. all the guages work, when everything is plugged in.

the body is UGLY. on the rear, there is a dent where the license plate goes, a little to the passenger side, which extends past the passenger brakelight. (it leaked until i filled the gap with silicone, which was a temporary fix)

it has small rust holes right below the gas fill, and the standard rust right in front of the rear wheels. the front fenders nearly dead center have crinkles where people have leaned/stood/sat. the pinch welds are demolished, and the floor supports are crushed. there is cancer throughout the exterior body of the car, but i was not concerned because we were going to use it on the track. the car was originally black, but is now primer grey (i didnt do it, i swear) with some spots of bondo that are unfinished. The alignment is perfect, and besides the stock old suspension, (and perhaps a roll bar) the car is ready to take to the track.

AND THE BEST PART!!!

if you come pick it up, and take all of my extra parts out of my garage, (all of which will fit in the back of the Z) you can have this car for $500. that is firm, no negotiations. i need to get shocks for my daily driver, so there it is.


in case it matters to you, i am selling the car because we just had a second kid, and i have zero time to play with this little rocket. i also need to clear out the garage because i am converting it to an upholstery shop.

i will sell any part that is not currently attached to the car separately, but i will not dis-assemble the car. PM me, or even email me at epiplayeratgmaildotcom. the car is located in spokane washington. the powertrain is in such good condition, that i would trust it to take me cross country, so i wouldnt worry about having it hauled unless it is snowing.
