I need to buy diff oil seals , how do i tell what model diff is in my 4/74 RS30 260Z .

i am pretty sure that it would be a R180... but i could be wrong...

i thought 75+ had R200s...

i dont think that is right about the R200s ... i dont think any S30 came with an R200 appart from the Z432

wrong man...

i have a R200... 260z's came with R200s.. just not sure which year started to have them

all 240z's came with R180s

I took a sample seal to the nissan dealer , the diff was a R200. it would have been easier if they had I.D tags or used a number punch, but that would be too simple.

The R180 has bolt-in alloy side plates & is noticably taller than it is wide. The R200 has no side plates & looks round when viewed from behind.

I got 15 diffs under the house R180 & R200 also R160 LSD 4.1
