Its just over 3200 lbs, http://www.rsportscars.com/nissan/2009-nissan-370z/

Bleach 04-22-2009 01:06 PM

The 350Z base is 3200lbs and already has an aluminum hood. The 370Z needs to be under 3000 to be a couple hundred pounds lighter.

Also, your 2nd picture up there is a just a photoshopped 350Z.

KasbeKZ 04-22-2009 04:04 PM

the door handle is the only evidence i see of that^^^. is that what you're going off of?

and i must have read a bad article.

Yep, the roof line is different too

KasbeKZ 04-22-2009 04:30 PM

oh i see the lines now lol.

KingDatsun1 04-22-2009 04:33 PM

fixed.

They need to do away with that goofy ass sideways door handle and put a pull style body colored door handle on there. That's the only exterior design flaw imo. It just sticks out like a ripe pimple.

snwbrderphat540 05-02-2009 06:52 PM

i like the handle style, but i think they should made it more flush and match the cars color.

RodMoyes 05-02-2009 09:35 PM

Welcome to the jungle babies... You gonna DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

snwbrderphat540 05-02-2009 09:46 PM

i looked up more about the 370... they take to mods well. headers highflow cats cat back and intake thing put down between 317-327 at the wheels (depending on which dyno was used) thats pretty impressive from the base 267whp.

Sweets 05-02-2009 10:48 PM

Or it could just be a poorly designed factory intake and exhaust system.

snwbrderphat540 05-02-2009 11:39 PM

lol, for the R&D put in its not "poorly" designed, its legally and comfortably designed as well as maximize performance, while its a sports car and power is important, sacrifices are NEEDED to meet the ever increasing demand for emissions reduction and noise pollution. plus not every one wants a loud car even though they want a sports car. they are designed to meet in a neutral area so all parties are happy, both the sport guys, the family people, and the government.

Sweets 05-03-2009 11:18 AM

That is very true. I bet the car sounds badass with air intakes and a full exhaust!

This video shows the Z beating the GT in a drag race by 2 tenths
oh, and the Sega Genesis is there too way in the back running the same as a 7 year old Honda S2000 :)
Also running a 14.2 second quarter mile is a supercharged Barbie Corvette spinning out of control

Too bad the front looks like a catfish & not feeling the design of the F/R lights. The rest is quite nice for a 2 seater.

Bleach 07-10-2009 06:34 PM

Comparing base model Z's, the 370Z is 110 lbs lighter than a 2006-2008 350Z...
...yet 44 lbs heavier than the 2003-05 models.

Nissan claims the 370Z is "a couple hundred pounds lighter than the 350Z"

domsgarage 09-13-2009 03:39 PM

Maybe someone forgot to pull the dead hooker out of the trunk when they last weighed it.

mswift 09-14-2009 01:55 PM

I agree with AboostedG, the 2 seater is very nice but the front is a fail to me...

Bleach 09-15-2009 06:13 PM

NISMO 370Z has a nice looking front and rear change. Quite the upgrade from the rear of the NISMO 350Z...

jovyarcher 10-26-2009 06:43 PM

the front bumper and rear is uniquely different compared to other cars. Even the lights looks amazing.
