HELP MEEE PLEASEE :( :( gas problem

So I got a check engine light the other day driving home on the highway, probbally a peice of dirt hit the MAF anywho that caused me to reset the ECU by doing the clock and petal system found on nicoclub and posted everywhere,

after doing so I saw the gas gauge on the cluster start messing up, i had atleast 160KM on it before i did the reset and all of a sudden while driving to a friends house (20km away) on the highway it decided to drop to empty.... and the automatic gas gauge on the dash said i have 98KM left and was blinking....

did the idle relearn and all that stuff and it's idling at like 600rmp and revs and does its thing perfectly although the gas gauge will be "random" sometimes like when I turn the car off and then turn the key to ON position (not starting the car) it will say i have way less gas on the cluster (the one with the needle) than i really have..... sometimes i have to drive for 10m for it to reliase it has more gas than it says and it will rise.

went to the gas station today after having a flawless day of it being perfect and filled up 20 dollars worth (10L) and it rose to 2 lines above empty (perfect) but than when i drove 5km down the road and turned off the car and came back 10minutes later the gas gauge rose to just above empty then while driving home(10km) away slowly rose to where it was when i filled up

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM

Welcome to the Forums Brandon, a little more info on your car would be helpful, year, mileage Mods... Pics are also welcome, and I'm guessing with all the metric measurements you are over seas ? Aussie possibly ?
