Thumbs up Why do you want to do this?

If the cooling system is operating properly, there shouldn't really be any need to do this. If it is overheating, you'd be much better off getting the radiator cleaned (rodded to do the job properly), water pump and thermostat checked (or replaced if you've got the $)...

If it's overheating, there is a problem... better to fix that than apply a 'band-aid' cure?

Hope this helps.

Another reason would be to keep the head pressure down on the airconditioning system if sitting and ideling for a length of time. Had to do the same thing on a Horton air fan on my big truck. Added a switch to keep the fan locked in, same idea only electric over air. Blew the top out of the dryer once the H/P got so high.
