how many miles?

I'm not exactly sure when to put syntec in the 04 Z. for my boyfriend ('03 s2000) says after 9,000-15,000 it's ok. but my best friend ('03 gallant) says that as soon as you get it out of the dealership it's ok, zero mileage. who the hell is right? -miriam

i don't see any problems with switching at any time. It's a brand new engine with brand new seals. Shouldn't be a problem.

i heard its best not to have synthetic in right away, because the engine isn't fully "broken in" yet..i saw it on a Rides or American Hot Rod episode..

Only 5 MONTHS between posts, no big deal me thinks. ;)

You can change to synthetic on your first oil change. You will not damage anything. This has been proven by used oil analysis.

Ch..ch...ch...check the dates before you post.

How hard is that? You're searching through super old threads... does it never hit home that they are OLD? The original poster isn't even a member anymore.

It has also been proven that reviving 4 year old threads is teh ghey!

This is only the first page of the technical section. There was a question that was asked that was not answered yet. I do not expect the OP to get the answer. I'm sure they are not checking in everyday to see if their question has been answered. I am answering an unanswered quesiton for anyone that might have the same question. I didn't go searching through several pages of old posts, this one on the first page. I'm sorry for trying to spark some activity.
