Buy or No Buy?

Currently in the market for a '03-'05 Z33 and was wondering how widespread the allignment problem is. I can't afford anything past an '05. Will the TSB fix show on a Carfax report? Can I assume the car is safe from the problem if it has more than 10-15k miles with no problems? I'm starting to reconsider buying one but I've wanted one for years.

The alignment "problem' isn't a safety issue, it's a tire wear issue and is easily correctable by virtually any alignment shop with the revised specs. Shouldn't cost ya more than 75-100 bucks. You should be be performing regular maintenance alignments on your cars anyway...

Sounds good I was just concerned by people who have had to replace tires every 5000 miles. I would definately pay attention to the alignment since I know that is the reason for the issue. I was under the impression that even Nissan didn't know how to permenantly fix the camber problem.... Sounds like a buy! Thanks.

Yeah, My dad had the problem with his 03(02) Z, he took it to an alignment center, cost like $105, and problem solved. gofer it!!!

I recommend the 2005. Too many reports of continuing problems with the 2003's and 2004's. I just sold my 2003 because of ongoing problems with front tire wear which could not be solved by multiple alignments. Everything I've read indicates the problem was solved in the 2005's.
