are all Z32 Ecus the same? What i mean is that can i use a 1996 na z32 ECU on a 1990 na z32? Sorry about the noob question, but any help can be appreciated.

 

its been a while since i read it, but 90-93 94-96 are the interchanging years, just make sure you get the auto ECU for a auto and the 5spd's for a 5spd..

 

i dont think the '96 ecu will work in the other years. thats when they went OBD II and lost VCT. and turbo or non will make a difference.

 

the early Z's were 8 bit 90-93, the later Z's were 16 bit (Hence the upgrade costs more) you need to be specific of year and model, the 94-95 ECU has different mapping due to the VVT which the 96 model dropped. Difference between turbo and non mostly due with different cam timing smaller injectors and such.

 

First of all thanks for the help guys. Do any of you know the letter/number code for the different years. The code on my ecu is 24. Are all years the same or can I tell the difference by looking at the front sticker.
