Can the upgraded 98+ synchro's be purchased and installed in the 89-97 US boxes? I read one place (z32 wiki) which said the newer synchro's are interchangeable. And read somewhere else, they are not (dont remember where).

Does anyone know the answer to this question.

If they are interchangeable, does anyone know the part numbers for the upgraded synchro's.

If nobody knows if they're interchangeable or not for certain, does any one know the part numbers for the upgraded synchro's.

I have broken my 3rd, 3/4 shift fork, and just bought 2 billet ones from Franklin Performance. Would like to upgrade the synchro's if possible when putting in the forks.
