twin turbo test pipes

I know they arent street legal but i got a set of test pipes to go with my downpipes and i was wondering if its bad for your turbos or anything or the car to remove its cats. Also will it give it that awful backfire sound because im looking for power but if it makes it sound awful ill take them back. Thanks for any help.

no. it might backfire more possibly but it wont really be loud and thats caused by a bad tune or high boost and hitting the rev limiter. it might be more bubbly sounding when you decelerate and it will be louder over all but it wont hurt anything cats serve no purpose other than to protect the atmosphere
