i have a na 300zx should i just put a tt in it and a manual trans im pretty pissed about this someone tell me which direction to go in

I'm assuming he has an N/A, auto. The auto trani went and he's pissed.
Soooooo. If the auto trani is the problem you have several options...
1) replace/rebuild your auto trani ($$)
2) swap in a Manual trani ($$$$)
3) replace/rebuild your n/a auto trani with a TT auto trani and swap in the TT engine ($$$$$$)
4) swap in a manual trani and TT engine ($$$$$$$)
5) sell it and buy a TT (manual or auto, take your pick)
What do you want out of the car? How much can you afford to spend? Can you do the work yourself?
Is this your only means of transportation?

Pay For Shop Tranny Rebuild (AT) = $2500 +/-
Pay for Shop Tranny Swap (TT) = $2500-3000
Replace Motor + Tranny Yourself (AT or TT) = $5000 (conservative) + and a whole lotta time and money
Pay For Shop Motor + Tranny Swap (TT) = $6000 + a whole lotta money (but less time).
Dont forget every route except for the rebuild includes having to pay for additional parts to swap in, which is also going to cost you.
I went the route of paying for a rebuild when mine went out, it cost about $2500, but a year later its holding up like a champ. I would only suggest a TT MT swap if you've got a place to keep your car for the next few months to a year and only if you've got some way to afford the neverending problems your probably going to encounter. OR if you've got the money to just pay a shop to get it done, in, out, and done with, cause otherwise, its going to be a lot harder than it sounds.
