TPS Problem

Hi, I have a 1990 300zx NA and it has been hesitating a lot lately. My old tps only ohmed out to 4 volts at full throttle (supposed to be around 5) so I bought a new one from Z1. I got one of my friends to ohm it with a program he had on his computer for diagnosing 300zx. When he set the voltage for the new tps at idle to the normal .46, the tps stayed open and the car idled at 2000 rpms. So he set the idle for the tps to around .08 and the idle dropped back to normal (~800 rpms). He also reset the ECU at the appropriate time with his computer. My car ran perfectly for a few days and now it's starting to hesitate again. Did I get a bad tps from Z1 or is there something else I need to do? I'm assuming that the tps is causing the hesitation because it ran fine for a few days.

lol... do you think that the voltage being .08 at idle could be causing hesitation though?

Adjust it so that it's as close to .5v with the throttle closed as possible.
