sensor on 96 stock intake vent

I have installed a pop charger on my 96 NA 5sp and am working out some of the performance kinks. Heard that there is a 2-wire sensor behind the passenger's front blinker assembly that may need to be relocated into the pop charger. Anyone ever heard of that? What is it?
