Recommendations on Springs/Shocks
 

Hay guys,
I have a 1991 NA 2 seater with 18inch rims and was looking to lower it around an inch. I know Eibach makes a set that lowers it about 8/10. I was wondering if any of you had it, and if so how you like it. Are any other spring kits better for around the same price? Also i would replace the shocks at the same time. Any thoughts on those? Bearing in mind the car is a daily driver, I dont have the patience to adjust the shock settings, and price IS an option.

Eibachs seem to be the preferred choice. Personally I think they're too expensive.
As far as shocks go, Tokico and KYB adjustables seem to be the two most popular because of price. The Tokico's run a bit more. If you don't want adjustability, both companies make standard cartridges for the Z at about half the cost of the adjustables. Since you mentioned cost I won't get into the fully adjustable $1000+ systems.

Thanks for the reply Rizz. I ended up getting the Intrax springs. Its a 1inch drop all around. Seemed resonably priced at around $200. I havent had them installed yet, but ill let the forum how they turn out incase anyone else is shopping around.

Where did you purchase the intrax springs from?

Drivewire.com and they were $205.76. They seemed to be comparable to the Eibach, but lowered a little more and were a little cheaper. The materials and manufacturing pocesses seemed identical to the Eibach as well. Ill let ya know how they come out, installation is thursday.

hey man, let me know how that works out. I put illuminas and intrax springs on my car, and I love them. I do have one question though. I noticed that when I had the springs off of the car the front ones were the same hieght as the old ones and the rear ones where about one inch shorter than the old ones. let me know if you have the same issue please? Does anyone else have this set up and experienced that?
