oil pressure due to the oil pan having a dent???
Can this happen my friend is looking to buy a Z, and I was told by the guy that the car is not getting any pressure due to a dent in the oil pan. I would think the sending unit has gone out any info?
I agree, I doubt the dent is causing it... I'm only giving the following advice based on NON-Z experience, but if it helps, then great!
Find the pressure sending unit. (I personally don't know where it is... just look around for it, or check with someone that does know), disconnect the electrical connection and look at the plug... if there's oil on the inside of the plug, at the contacts, the sending unit had a little 'blow-out' and needs replaced.
Good Luck.

i havn't seen the exact layout of the underside of that engine, but a lot of them have the oil pump right in the bottom of the sump. if there is a big dent in the lowest part, it could actually have mashed up into the pump. maybe even have bent the pick up tube
