Oil Cooler Install
 

i just bought a nismo Oil Cooler.. I want to install it tomorrow but i want to know if there is anything i shoud know about installing.. Do i have to flush all the oil out of the engine or do i just unhook it and then hook the other one on and that it ? thanks in advance..

just make sure it's clean. no need to change your oil. if anything, check oil level after it's been running for a few minutes.... you might need to add a lil.

Thanks for the fast reply.. so all i have to do is unplug the stock oil cooler persay and then plug in the nismo on and that it?? THats all .. seems too easy ? i don't have to fill the oil cooler with oil or anything before hand???

Anyone know what that silver braket is that come with the nismo oil cooler? Like where does it attach to? The black one bolts to teh bottom of the cooler

Where'd you get the oil cooler from? what company? If you could post a pic that would help.

concept Z performance.. oil cooler is like 3 times the size.. but u need to mofify the bracket.. don't have any pics of teh bracket yet.. but after i mofify it ill post one

from the looks...the two hangers on the top front side of the cooler allows one to mount the cooler in an orientation other than stock location. Probably where that bracket your talking about comes into play. are you mounting the NISMO cooler in the stock location? i would and just scrap the other bracket.

u can't move it any farther back because then it bents the rubber hoses that carry the oil.. Basically you have to alter the long aluminum bracket that goes from one side to the other.. bolts up right near the horns.. ill post a pic once i get it all welded up
