and zlover...let me ask you a question.. what would make my intake system not favorable at all.. i mean some collectors wouldn't do something like that..but a logic as in getting air as quik to the motor as possible in a high rpm situation..why would you want a tube in the middle to cross over air flow to supposedly balance it out?? i would like to hear your theory of why this isnt favorable.. collector wise point of view.. no this isnt. favorable.... i didnt make this piece like a 5 year old would its actually something that took me some time to figure out and fabricate....and think of tunnel rams on some vehicles that i have seen... why would you put 4 individual tunnels on each throttle plate/carb and there is no balancing in between these besides making the throttle plates open all at the same time.. i did take my car to someone i trust and we did equalize the volume of air running past the plates... im interested to know why this community would be against something like that. (i wish i woulda taken pics of this system when i had the front end disassembled)
Zlover im not being an *** either in my comment i took your last in depth thread pretty seriosly and yes it does make sense that once you do a complete functional professional NOS system it may not be worth it for the money..

I never said ANYTHING about a balance tube, so if you're going to argue with me, read what I say or you're going to make yourself look like an idiot.

I said JWT > Bomz. It's been dyno proven that JWT Pop Chargers outperform their closest competitors (which happens to be Apex-i) by 5-8rwhp on a stock TT. If you're so heart-set on making your NA as fast as possible, get rid of the crappy Bomz intake and get a better flowing filter.

ok zlover for life i wasnt arguin till you called me an idiot.. and 1st im not lookin like an idiot u did criticize what i did to my intake by saying quote on quote "If you're serious about making horsepower with your car, go get a JWT Pop Charger. Your logic of Nitrous > quality intake is not favorable in this community."... this is the question i want you to answer.... quality intake is not favorbale read before you speak... goofy z i was talkin about a balance tube but u speak of my intake not being favorable now explain... i want to hear your theory this quote is takin from you.. u seem to have a a trigger temper from your other posts ive read but i want YOU to explain not favorable and why?? so before you look like the idiot that you call me please read a little farther and make that brain turn an extra gear so we can quit this argument. i have been to several schools as a tech myself inculding porsche, audi, volkswagen and subaru .. and you seem like that guy in every class ive had to talk up a storm has been thru every situation and knows everything but when it comes to turning a wrench u become a butch and someone that doesnt know where to start from your comments.. i'm 24 years old and i know how to sort people out like you... i wish we lived closer so i could race and compare my theory to your theory and quality of work.. anybody can speak of what they supposedly know.. from brain to hands is a different thing.

yes i have been to several tech schools...not for nissan tho.. tech schools..well u really dont learn to much..its in the field where u learn what is goin on with cars they kinda just update u...from my first tech school...to all other schools i have been thru none of them have taught me what 8-9 hrs in a shop have taught me... the schooling just makes you look good...its what you do to make that paycheck good..teaches you
and whoever said i wanted 500whp lol lots of you single out these little statements in my comments..hows about i just want that little bit extra out of my z.. i dont wanna pull wheelies mr nismo.. lmao haha thats a good comment tho.... id like to know how many of you work on about 500-600 cars a month?
and of course NOS isnt the best way to go yea yea yea i know the tt setup .. you know crossing a dangerous intersection isnt good for your life either...everybody has their do's and donts..
and buy the the way nismo i see your fleet the 924 turbo?? umm why waste your money on that when you coulda bought a 944 turbo s with a bigger displacement and bigger turbo running better boost?? plus the s handles a lot better but that was a good waste of money
but anyhow.......apparently this wasnt the question to ask..everyone can argue but few little can give some advice. i could argue all day with some of your comments but in reality it isnt worth it.. thise forum was a damn good forum till now.. thanks to the know it alls out there...
such as nismo whered u even come from? a qwik comment to act like u know what your talking about im done with this thread you can all battle on and say what you want..but when you would like to battle with the wrenches under the hood then come talk wow....
forums are for help and advice to some who may not know i thought...well guess i was mistaken
i did actually like zlover4life...ur breakdown about the NOS and the JWT did take effect... it does make sense all in all... but like i said id like to hear why you think my intake setup was a bad idea....

Um no... I've been reading the whole convo from post one.

Let me summarize:

I want NOS!

Grow up kid.

No really... I want NOS.

Why not do things correctly?

I want NOS and I went to all these tech schools, learned everything, push 500-600 cars a second, hate Porsche 924's but some how love the 944 (because I know soooo much about Porsche now), and I want NOS...

PS... everyone who tells me not to go with NOS is an idiot.

PSS... I know everything cuz I went to tech skoolz

PPSS... they didn't teach me about NAAAWWWWZZZ at tech skoolz, so I'm on da Z scene to do some investigatin, YO!

Can't we just drop it?

Lowkeyz, you obviously learned a couple things from this thread.
1) I believe we answered the question you had, in so many words...
2) How some of us feel about it.
3) Dos and donts
4) Why some of us don't/do like the idea of No2
5) And last and most importantly, that what you do with your own vehicle is your own choice, not ours.
So do what you feel is right, with what you know now.

LET'S STOP THE STUPID @$$ ARGUING, PLEASE!

I was serious

I seriously saw two guys do this to a civic, with a leaf blower, got an extra 40hp from it by sticking it in the intake. I just figured that since you are a do it yourselfer, like to fab custom parts, like to drag with your car, you'd explore that as an option. I mean an extra 80+ hp from 2 little leaf blowers, how can you beat that for a few hundred dollars? So what if its unconventional, you don't strike me as a person who cares about convention.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDOA_Aw0q3Y

I mean that is the desired effect you want isn't it? (granted that's just a civic but that z28 only walked away from it)

I'd hate to think people think I have a temper and can't be serious...on a forum...on-line.. about happy gas...
