It's tricky...it's cheap and fast power, but if done wrong...it will eat your engine incredibly quick. I know guys that do it at a controlled rate, and it seems ok for now. But it will eat years off your motor nonetheless quicker than most mods would I believe.

Agreed. Look at what happened to the Green Eclipse in Fast and the Furious. Yes, it's a movie, but you get the idea. NOS isn't something you would want to use all the time. Just when needed.

If it was my car, I would go Stage III first. You'll be suprised at what a gain you get and it'll be just as much if not more than getting nitrous. You really can't go over a 60 shot on stock internals if you want to keep your motor for a while.

I was thinking and I just realized that it would cost you about the same if not less to go stage three. 300$ for the ashspec ECU and $200 for the intake. It'll cost you about $600 for a nitrous setup depending on how you go. Plus, you'll hafta fill up that bottle all the time.

Stage I is exhaust. You have that according to your sig. Stage II is intake. You can get a JWT popcharger, the apexi, or the K&N. the K&N's the cheapest. Stage III is an ECU and boost jets which raise your boost to 14.5 psi....that's where all the power comes from. You can go with the JWT, AshSpec (which I recommend), or Dinan (don't do it!). Here's some links for you:

Hope that helps....you may want to look around some more to see what's out there....you may find betterl deals than I did.

Why the sudden push for massive power increases? Did a wealthy relative just kick off and leave you a bunch of $?

I just figured the Nos quote was appropriate here in a nitrous thread. See, I'm following the topic at hand.

N2O is the atomic configuration. One nitrous atom to two oxygen atoms. Nitrous oxide is the proper name. NOS, Nitrous Express are just brand names.
