Hi I recently purchased my dream car, a z32 tt I had a na before and this is totally different. anyways the previous owner and some friends told me that this site is the best and the help in here is better answered than Nissan themselves.
and I ran into a problem and hope to find out what happened.
Well the previous owner had a Dinan ECU but did not install it, but I did and put the boost jets in. I know, I know the dinan is not so great, but it was free!

I used 14 psi boost jets, and ended up with 15 in my apex boost gauge and at that point, I heard a rattling noise in the engine and lots of smoke came out of my talpipes and now my car can only boost up to 6 psi not any higher, the car now seem fine though

I know there is the safety boost thing, but shouldn't it go away after I restart my car, and my my question is how bad it is to the engine itself for detonating for few seconds, I mean did I hurt it real bad and the turbos.
