Need Help with a 90z TT
Please let me know if anyone has had this problem. Between 2K to 3K (RPM) Idle or in drive my TT knocks ( and I mean real bad). Once I reach 3 1/2 and over its fine. The knock appears to be from the bottom of the timing cover.

What's your oil pressure gauge saying when idling from cold?
If it's low when driving (is oil light coming on when driving?), then it's possibly worn big end bearings/crankpin journals.
Does anyone else agree?, plus, out of interest, does anyone know whether its possible to do the big end bearings without removing engine, i.e. removing the sump and caps method.

valves knocking
sometimes car's with overhead cams have a problem with knocking valves. usually, this only happens at low oil pressure. its usually not too bad at first but i believe it can get worse and become a problem. if its really intense, then maybe its getting there.
