Mas

I recently bought a dual air induction kit. obviously i will get my computer tuned for it, however my question is should i run two Mass Air Flow sensors or just the stock one? and if I do run a second one does anyone know how i would go about wiring it in? can splice of the stock one or do i have to run separate lines? Thanks.

You only use the 1 MAF, but you need to install a 2nd 'blank' MAF. It's just a dummy unit. The reprogrammed ECU is designed to meter approx. 1/2 of the original airflow. Where did you buy this unit? It should have come with the necessary hardware & software upgrades.

Run a VG30DETT MAF, or Q45 (VH45DE) MAF. There is no EASY way to integrate a second MAF. ECU/M would have to be completely remapped.

Hit up some junk yards, ask about like a 1991 Q45, they should have one you can break apart.

Just a thought. Most of my boss's project cars have Q45 MAF's, he said the kick it adds is amazing.

is putting a Q45 MAF on the N/A a good thing to do to get more air flow/power?

Nismo, does adding the Q45 MAF to othe Z32 TT or NA require an ECU reprogram, or will it just 'plug & play'?

91zxtt, as with any upgrade to powertrain, if is always more effective to have the ECU/M remapped. But Im almost 100% sure that it is plug and play. My boss use's the Q45 MAF on his RB engines (Skyline engines). Im going to give it a try when I get my new Z. But if the Q45 MAF DOESNT work, I promise the TT MAF will, i've seen this done on many Z's.

That's my guess. I didn't realize there was a difference between the NA and the TT MAF. The Q45 MAF would probably be able to meter more air. The TT MAF can meter enough air for about 450-500HP. After that, you need to convert over to the Twin intake setup.
