Im picking up a pair of headers this week, Im looking at the AMZ ones, theyre about the same price as the JVT ones that I found, but I can get the JVT's from a local place for about half the price as ive found elsewhere.

Any thoughts would be awesome.

Ive found some good reviews about other parts theyve made for the z, but it was like radiators and radiator fans. I also found a good review for their headers on an acura forum.

So like i said, any thoughts would be awesome.

I went with the JVT headers and theyre fine. Welded on the inside and out, theres no weird sound to them, there really wasnt much of a change in sound at all except on the exhaust escape. It kind of sounds like its gurgling out like that of a throw back Monte Carlo.

Im please with them.

However. The shop that quoted me two hours to put them in when they did my clutch was not happy at all and said to me "I would have never done this if I knew it would take me 5 hours with the trans out... I will never ****ing do a set of ****ing headers in that car again."

lol i'm surprised they didn't realize that before hand. a 2 minute google search would have told them that.

anyway, thanks for the review. i'll consider them if i ever decide to go that way. any power change?

Definitely have better acceleration.

it's quicker to pull the engine in an NA than try to do the headers with it in....

good deal that you got what appears to be a quality part at a steal of a price.

I only did the headers because I had to get the clutch done. I figured if I was ever going to do them, this would be the ideal time.

I was going to do them myself, but I didnt want to get involved in an ass load of work.

The guy at the shop said "with the trans out, it should take no more of an hour / hour and a half to do the headers."

I knew he was out of his mind for quoting me that, but, who am I to argue.

As far as the part goes, so far so good. They sound good on the exit, acceleration is up and they seem to be keeping color.

That shop must not have alldata or read it wrong. It says 2.1 hours for the right bank, 2.4 for the left. Nowhere does it have a time listed for "both banks" like with the head gaskets (14.7 for left, 14.7 for right, 17.6 for both).

They could have legitimately charged 4.5 hours for the headers alone. I know Nissan would have (hell, dealerships charge redundant hours)

Nissan would have probably charged me twice.

The dealership here isnt competant enough to work on these cars.

Dealerships in general aren't competent to do anything more than oil changes and I don't trust them for that either.

I had a flooding issue when I first got the car. I didnt know there was a diffrence in spark plug lengths.... neither did Nissan. It sat there for two weeks, then they tried charging me.

I didnt pay them for anything, they couldnt tell me anything I didnt already know.

I brought it to a local shop that works on these cars all the time and told me in about 10 minutes what was wrong.

Dealerships are jokes.

is there one anywhere competant to work on a Z32?
