Just stopped running...HELP!
Hello,
Last week I changed out yet another injector...(rough idle...shorted injector)...than yesterday I was a block from my house making a right turn and the engine just quit...turned off...I can spin it over...I believe it has fuel...but no spark... I have searched this forum and have found no other posts to such a sudden onset of non-running z...I have repeatedly tried to start the car...checked for loose wire...but have come up with nothing...it did once sputter...but that is it... Additionally I know that the start transistor has been replaced under the recall... Any idea's...please help (Sorry...forgot this bit of pertinent information...1993 NON turbo automatic...) |
how many injectors have you replaced?
have you checked the coilpacks and sparkplugs? do you know when the last time the fuel filter was replaced? |

I have no idea when the fuel filter was replaced...That is a good suggestion...(not to mention less expensive than say...a ECU...:-) Any additional info you can provide would be GR8! Thanks |
if you have one of the big owners manuals, you can read in there on how to check your coil packs. if you dont, there is a link for the online one in the z32 general section
you might want to check the TPS mount as well...theres a whole list of stuff youcan look at, ill go look for it |
What you're describing sounds like the PTU. Eventhough it was replaced, I'd check that.
