HKS ALC II controller
 

I have an HKS transmission controller installed on my car, everything was working great, this morning on the way into work it all of a sudden at 2600 RPM in 3rd gear dropped into 2nd and after playing with the accellerator I was able to get it back into 3rd and level off again at around 2600 RPM. When I reached town and I slowed down it began to shift back and forth between 1st and 2nd gear with out changing how fast I was driving. The shifting doesn't seem to be as crisp as before and although I haven't had any problems at higher RPM, tonight it still had the up and down shifting issues.

Has anyone had any experience with these line controllers, or heard of other issues like this.

nope never heard of that.
Most ppl have MT so autos aren't as prevalant to the forums.
Althought i do know that the autos in the Z are quite problematic so your scenario doesn't really surprise me.

I have no issues with mine. Did you install it recently or has it been on there for a while?
The reason I ask is that the ALC harness will not function propoerly if the harness is not seated properly or is over tightened.

Are there any other signs? What does your auto trani light on your dash do when you start the car up?

Rizz is correct, the auto trani have been known to be problematic to some. How many clicks on the current trani? It could be time for a relacement/rebuild.
