Highbeams stuck in on position

Can anyone help me with my high beams being stuck in the on position. And, the level will not work in the on position. If I just have on the parking lights, I can flick the high beams on. Suggestions please?

That might be the most horrible description of a problem I've seen in a while. Care you lay out EXACTLY what it does?

What happens when the headlight switch is off? What happens when it's in the parking lamp position? What happens when it's on? What happens when you have the high-beam lever in the on position? Off position?

Because with the way you just described it, you have the high beam lever on and maybe some burnt out headlamps, but I don't think you're so dumb that you couldn't figure that out, so it must just be a poorly communicated problem.

I didn't... I commented at 3:31am and that's what it's showing me. Go into your control panel, then edit options and change your time zone to central.

Ok....Zlover...I was pressed for time before. Let me explain. Its dark outside, i need to turn my lights on, when I do (via the light **** to the left of the steering wheel) they (the lights) come on in the high beam. Nothing I do (flicker the highbeam arm-again to the left of sterring wheel) or anything I attempt to do, gets the highbeams to go off. If I turn the "Headlight ****" on the left hand side of steering wheel to parking light (half way between on and off), the lights go off completely. And, then, and only then does the highbeam "flicker arm" to the left of the steering wheel, will allow the highbeams to flicker on until I release the "highbeam flicker arm" to left side of the steering wheel.

Translation:

Headlights off = no lights.

Running lights on only = can toggle or "flash" high beams with the lever.

Headlights on = only high beams, can't make low beams come on, blindiong people while driving and being known as "That *******" as in "Look at that ******* with his high beams on!".

Outside of this translation I have no other information to offer other than your lever appears to be stuck.

It was a fuse, happened to me when I grounded an illumination wire on the stereo harness. Find short, replace fuse done.
