I have a 96 300zx 2+2 and things are not looking good. Here's my problem yesterday my heat/AC went out. I cranked up my car to go for a spin everything was going fine to my AC quit blowing so I tried the heat also nothing happen. I have auto controls of course. I checked the 7.5AC fuze in fuze box it was good. As far as my auto controls everything still seem to be working. All the vents seemed to be working, I used the AC controls to open/close them. But still no AC or Heat nothing blowing at all HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

He's the answer to the question nobody wanted to comment on. Replaced the blower and that fixed the problem. Power was going in but wasn't going out. Hope this helps somebody.

 

I definitely appreciate the feedback. It's good to see that you solved the prob. Did you pull the motor and then try putting 12v power to it to see if it worked by itself?

 

Can someone tell me if the Blower motor is easily replaced. Mine went out (I believe) yesterday and by the way, it's 36 degrees out right now and snowing. Would like to get it fixed right away. I've searched the forums for threads on Heater, Blower, Fan, etc. but this is the only one I could find with any comments about replacing the blower motor.

Wow... diggin up old threads! Have you checked the fuses?

 

I have only checked under the hood whilst in the parking lot. I didn't actually pull the fuse out, just wiggled it around in case it was just a contact issue.

 

Might want to pull the related fuses OUT and look at them before thinking it's a motor.

 

Can you tell me where to find the fuses and also where the access is to the blower motor?

Pulled the "AIRCON BLOWER" Fuse and it was in perfect condition. Are there other fuses relating to the blower motor?

Can you tell me where the blower motor is located and if there are any instructions on accessing / replacing it.

Thanks for the link. I have used that one and a couple others that were on the General z32 info link but none of the layouts tell me where to access the Blower motor (from inside or from engine compartment). Nor can I find a thread giving instructions to actually pullout and replace (or test and reinstall).

If you can hook me up with a few short recommendations, that would be great.
