whats the difference between a 300ZX fairlady and a 300ZX

Fairlady is the Japan name for the car. We have a few cars over here that have a different name then their American counter parts

Fairlady everywhere but the US. Japan often changes the names of the version that we get. Probably because the water down untuned vehicles that we get don't deserve the original names. i.e. Sylvias, Evos, Integra (RSX) etc... Hopefully that will change in 2003 with Subaru and Mitsubishi leading the way. Finally a break.

actualy the fairlady TT z in japan comes stock at 282 hp the one here in the united states comes stock 302 i think but all i know is that they change names over here to make more money like the toyota soarer is the lexus whatever and the toyota altezza is the lexus 300 or what ever the hell it is and the sylvia is now a 240 coupe and the 240 hatchbacks are the 180 z its weird but i think they do it to make more money anyways everything has a different name even the toyota corrola haha anyways its just the car companies trying to get more money outa us anyways...laters
