What do you guys think about taking a z to an exhaust shop and getting a fabricated exhaust with some magnaflows.

 

Make sure they do mandrel bends. Most exhaust shops dont do that. Turbo?

.... you mean "nah, NA" right? I'm guessing there were 2+2 turbos...

 

not in the United states there wasnt unless you made it a turbo 2+2. the Z32 came as a 2 seater, 2+2, slick top, or convertible. the only turbo one in the US was the t-top 2 seater. also, performance companies like HKS, or specialty Z, or Z1 put a TON of R and D in their exhausts, so getting one made at an exhaust shop will never yield the same gains. however since this is an NA car, i dont see any harm in it other than it might end up sounding bad. and i dont know if flowmasters and Z32's really go together, but thats your call i suppose. but i agree with justin that most shops dont mandrel bend and therefore they end up kinking the pipe when they bend it which is not what makes a good exhaust system.

 

If it helps I while I was getting a tune up a couple years ago I asked the guy at the shop how much to put a set of magnaflows on my 93 NA 2+2, now keeping in mind this guy works on comissions for parts sold, his reply was "Yeah...don't do that to your car."
