Erratic idle and is felt...

ZDriver Nation,
Here's my problem and I'm hoping that with all the brain power that this nation has, we can come up with a solution. Here are the symptoms: Erratic idle in which it surges up and down and it is felt when the vehicle is cold, warm and hot. To add to the problem, this is also felt at 40-65 mph. One thing to rule out is vacuum leaks. I've checked and double checked...there aren't any. Is it possible that there is a timing problem? What about cams (sensors/valves)? Can someone elaborate on this? How can I fix my baby? People, your input is very valuable. Help me out. Thanks!

haha "zdriver nation"...that made me laugh...

have you tried w/ a simple tune up?

plugs
air filter
oil change
possibly check out your alternator belt (causes stumbling when getting old or loose)
also, there is an injector test you can do to see if you have a fouling injector, use the search option.

if it is also associated with a hesitation problem, I suggest running down this and trying to fix as many problems as you can:

I would say there are 20 things you would want to check out before jumping to any conclusions about it being your timing or anything going on in your heads. Start with a tune up, then work your way down the list in that write up. If all else fails, take it to a shop and have them throw it on a Diag machine....(also I would suggest resetting your ECU, this may clear up the issues)

......good luck, and keep us posted.
