Clutch.

Ok as u all know I am going through a TT convertion. well I'm wondering what's better a six puck clutch from RPS, or teh Street clutch from JWT?

1 vote RPS

if you're gonna do the clutch, might as well get a new flywheel as well.
consider a lighter driveshaft too since that'll all be apart anyway.
I vote RPS clutch & flywheel.

a 6 puck clutch will have a harsher engagement and will also be louder i think. it will be harder to slip the clutch
a street disc is self explanatory...for normal driving use, uses a stronger pressure plate

and go with a lightweight flywheel, stronger clutch pivot ball, stainless steel clutch line, rear main seal, new shifter bushings, and better roller bearing pilot bushing

Practically a whole clutch kit. right or wrong?

Riz Z Speed 05-21-2005 02:30 AM

a clutch kit will only include the throw out bearing, clutch disc, and pressure plate.

and a pilot bushing. You'll have to buy a pilot roller bearing.
