Boost Gauge not working..help??

Anyone have any idea why my boost gauge is not working..1993 300ZX TT. I am getting full boost but gauge is usually pinned at 14+ and doesn't move from there except on occassion. Just trying to see if you all know something since Nissan can't seem to figure it out, thanks,
Jon

There is a 1/8th inch hose that runs a across the firewall. The hose connects to a tee (left rear of engine) by the waste gate it runs all along the back of the engine compartment and connects on the right side, about where the boost gauge would be. A leak in the hose would explain the partial gauge movement. Make sure it's connected properly and has no leaks. This hose is what the gauge measures from. It's hard to hear over the engine, but if you manually open the throttle plate or have someone press the pedal, you can often hear a pressure leak. But, I hope Nissan would find it, if it's only a leak. Good Luck!

why does everyone think that every Z32 boost gauge is not reliable? Mine reads EXACTLY what my AVC/R reads. There are exceptions where it won't be accurate, but out of the 2 Twin Turbo's I've had, both of them had accurate stock boost gauges.

I agree. Unless your boosting at 15+ psi, stick with stock!
