Bang Bang Bang!

Got my new Z today.... worst than I was told. It goes & quot; clonk clonk bang bang clickidy bang bang & quot; (haha). it wont even idle.... WTF?!?!?!! Give me some advice on what it may be. peace

HAHA.. sorry Rizz, I am pretty sure the guides are off on the valves. Or it has VERY bad crank case problems... It BANGS very badly... (knocks, for technical ****). So I am thinking thats what it is.. Im cracking her open this weekend, so i'll let u know then. Peace

could be the knock sensor just needs to be replaced. The crank is usually machined so well that I highly doubt that would be your problem. Could the compression be off on one of the cylinders? One of the cylinders could be misfiring as well.

This is what I am thinking... It sounds like the valves, I did the basic "breaker bar to the head" test, then to the crank case... and I could hear that valves "TICKTICKTICKTICK", and the crank case was just the ussual. So I am thinking I will get off easy on this one. Peace

Ok the deal is that my recently aquired Z32 is making a strange "clicking" noise.. I believe it is coming from the engine.. the sound is audible when the car is either running on park or in neutral.. in any other gear it sounds a bit less and as the revs go up the sound quiets...

Any ideas on what it could be?..
