Advice on turbocharging

I have a 90 Z32 with 26k original miles and I plan to do a turbocharger or supercharger. I have looked at a turbocharger kits online ranging in price from $1500-6000. I am planning to build on stock engine internals and I am looking for ANY advice on what kits are good/bad and what to do and what not to do. Thanks guys

So you are just looking to throw some turbo's on an N/A engine? lol, look up z32 TT conversion to see how much it takes.

In short you will need a complete good TT motor, all of the intercooler piping, intercoolers, recirc valves, TT radiator, TT ECU, you will need either a boost controller or a new wiring harness with wastegate solenoids, if you have an automatic you can swap bellhousings with the TT automatics, but it will probably just blow up, manual transmissions either require using the N/A clutch and starter or using shims. Then you will also need a TT fuel pump. There's a couple things to the general list I know I'm forgetting, but be prepared to spend about $5-6k on a stock swap.

As for just throwing some turbo's on an N/A, since you are asking this I'm sure you have no idea what you really want to do, or the experience and skill to actually do it. I would recommend selling your z and buying a TT, or just keeping it and enjoying it as it is and doing little mods.

I have been been working in my Fathers body shop since I was a kid and I have plenty of training in the industry to know how to turn a wrench, I just dont have any knowledge on these cars. Im a Jeep guy, I built an 02 TJ on D44s with a NP24104 Tcase, ARB lockers and lots of other goodies. I just always wanted a Z and so I bought one. I thought I found bolt-on kits online to put a single turbo on the n/a but apparently this is not possible?

You cannot reliably turbocharge an NA motor... 99% of the time, it results in a blown motor. You have to swap the entire motor and all relevant components.

Ah yeah I see this now after some more research. Atleast Im not the only Jackass who had the same thought. I have always loved the car and Im glad I bought it but I was hoping for a little more go. Any advice giving the n/a a little something extra?

You can but it's not cheap or easy. Most people spend about $1-2k to get about 240WHP out of the NA before you have to start getting into the motor.
