Advancing your Timing

Just curious if anyone has advanced their timing on a non turbo 300zx yet? I have a 90 z with a 92 NA jspec engine and would like to advance the timing. Was curious if this would be ok on a non turbo z, how dangerous it is (more so then a common honda?), what I can expect, etc. I see the tech article on how to, was just curious about anyone's experiences! Thanks. Also what is the stock setting? 15 Deg.?

Check the "Timing Tweak" article in the tech section on twinturbo.net.

I read it and it doesnt quite explain what I asked, also it doesnt say much about NA's. If all I have is a 10m socket and a screw driver and jsut wanna advance it a bit, what is a fair amount in MM ? 2 MM? Whats a degree as far as distance
