93’ A/T Z32 stuck in park. Please help!

First post so bear with me. My 93’ A/T 2+2 300zx used to drive fine. Then one day it wouldn’t shift out of park. I’ve looked through every forum I could find to try and find a solution. Some people say fuses but all mine are good. We took apart the center console to open up the top of the transmission. The only narrowing down i’ve got is that the plastic piece on top of the transmission around the shifter doesn’t rotate like it should 100% of the time. I believe it is apart of the shift lock but honestly I don’t know. I have a parts car so my dad and I took the GREEN shift lock control module off it and went to see if replacing the one in my car would fix it but we found out my 93’ has a BLACK box in the same location that takes a different plug in. Both boxes are labeled “shift lock control assembly”. That’s basically the run down for where we are at now. I don’t know what to do from here except hope someone has been through the same struggles.

I am not sure if the Z32 AT has a brake sensor where you have to press on the brakes to slide the AT out of park. My Z32 is a MT, so I am not sure. Maybe the sensor (if there is one) is bad. But I do know that newer AT cars have that brake sensor to stop sudden acceleration issues. This is sort of like the MT where you have to press in the clutch to start the car to stop sudden acceleration issues.
