1990 NA Automatic - Engine not turning over

For some reason when I try to start my 300zx, it makes this noise. It first happened when I was driving down the highway and suddenly the engine stalled, and it would not start back up.

The timing belt is in almost new condition and the battery is charged. That's all I've checked so far. Does anyone know what's going on?

Did you ever sort out the problem? What was it?
