Windshield squirters

Ok guys, I have an annoying problem with my Z.

Whenever I come to a stop, windshield washer fluid is pushed out of the windshield washer squirters and onto the hood. The fluid just dribbles out, but then it runs down the hood, then it dries and looks like crap. I've had them plugged for the past few months thinking it was the tiny filters that sit in line, on the underside of the hood, just under the squirters. I replaced them a couple days ago, and have discovered that was not the problem. I'm guessing there's an anit-siphon valve, or something similar, that has gone bad. Does anyone have any info on this, such as what it is, or where it is?

I appreciate your help.

It's known as the check vlaves or nozzle restrictor. It's a $5 fix and takes about 3 minutes to fix.

Don't tell him that. Now he won't go and buy those winshield squirters that light up at night in his choice of fancy colors.

So, where are the check valves located? I just replaced the little white filters; which I though had check valves in them.

wrecker...I hope your kidding or i'll hafta take a drive and rip your head from your flailing body (JK). 91, follow the lines from the nozzles to a little yellowish/whiteish round disk...replace that...I think that is what you replaced and that should fix the problem.

If you're talking about the little yellowish/whiteish things located on the underside of the hood about 3" from the squirters themselves, then yeah that's what I replaced. They're brand new from courtesy parts. It still squirts when I get on the brakes.

Maybe I should buy a Civic. Maybe I should've left the damn things plugged. Outta sight, outta mind. I would like to fix it, but I'm not going to invest much time in resolving the problem.

I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't want to say anything to make him mad. I'm still hoping he'll come up with an idea for the squirters. You're not helping here Rizz.
