VIN for 2+2
 

I'm looking for a Z32, 2+2 for my husband. Is there any way to know if it's a 2+2 by looking at the VIN? and did they make any VG30DTT's for the 2+2 stock or are the ones I've seen all engine swaps?

im pretty positive there is know way to tell what body style or motor is in the car by vin. also, they never made anything but a 2+0 T-tops twin turbo car wtih teh VG30DETT. if you find one it is swapped. i saw one for sale some where just a week or so ago though. however i would go for the 2+0 over teh 2+2. why you ask, well teh 2+2 is longer and uglier imo and also heavier and wont handle quite as nicely. the rear seats in the car cant really even hold people either rendering them useless... they were only created to help hold luggage, go figure. any ways good luck on the search.

We definately would need a 2+2 with our kids. I'm sure that a 2+0 is more areodynamic & weight distribution is better. I'm hoping that the 2+2 isn't a total waste in the driving experience. Can anyone else give any feedback?
We previously had two 200 SE-R's & they were great little pocket rockets & had fun handling turns.

a z32 with a TT engine will be a CZ, while a z32 with a non turbo engine will be an RZ. i believe the 2+2 will be a RZ26, and a two seater will be a RZ/CZ24

i stand corrected on the VIN ^^^^ as for ruining the ride, it wont, it will still be fun and junk, and im sure you can fit the kids back there, but i wouldnt be buying a Z32 as a family car 2+2 or not. youll have a fun time stuffin tehm back there, you should try fitting all of you in there first, last time i looked at teh back seats on a Z32 there was only 7 inches or so between teh rear seat end and teh front seat begining, not very ummm..... fitted for people in the rear.

basically if you are going to put anyone int he back seats that is like under the age of 4 you will be fine anythging older than that i don;t know you are going ot have a fun time putting them in those back seats or whatever ha ah but yeah I thinka 2+2 TT Swaped Z32 would be a nice car. as for the VIN number identification thing B300Z seems to be dead nuts on.

Oh god, bad memories of sitting in a 2+2 ANYTHING that was meant to be a sports car....makes my legs cramp up thinking about it.

longer and wider wheelbase equates to better handling.
the appearance of the 2+2 is a matter of taste but unless you really know the difference it's not really that noticeable. The driving experience is the same regardless of which you drive as long as the car is in proper mechanical order.
Personally, since i owned a 2+2 Z32, I liked the elongated design. Seeing a coupe to me always seems like it got chopped up and is missing something. lol but that's just me.
for the record, TT 2+2's do exist. They just weren't sold in the U.S. So any you see are either converted or imported.
