Unplugged white cable connector

So under the hood the Vht or whatever the timing clip is under the hood(up by the knock sensor harness)
I un plugged it while the car was running to see if that could be why the car is still running kinda slow and it did nothing when I unplugged it. I would think it would? We tested the female plug and got 11.8 ohms and the other clip tested .37 mega ohms. Does anyone know if this clip being removed should do anything? Since I've ran the resistor trick I haven't had and codes its all 55 and good but I still feel like low rpms is gutless I couldn't even spin a doughnut on the dead end Of a back road.
