Tips for starting a car that has sat for 2 years
Was wondering if anyone had any tips for starting a 95 300ZX (non turbo) that has not been started in over 2 years. The car has aprox. 130k miles and was in perfect running condition when I parked it. I need to start it, sell it, and get it out of my driveway.

2 years... I'd probably drain the gas out of it, put new stuff in, oil change, remove the fuel pump relay and crank the engine for at least 30 seconds to prime the engine, then crank it until it fires. If that doesn't work, something's wrong.

Oil shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure it has sufficient oil.
And give your rad a good flush (the right way), and sooner or later your gonna need a tune up, depending on the condition was before it was stored |
Like ZLover said, crank it till you see oil pressure build on the gage. I have a fuel cut-off switch and do this even if the car has set for two weeks.

If the oil in the motor was completely fresh before sitting, it'd be fine... but I doubt this was the case. Ultimately, you have no way of knowing if the properties of the oil have been maintained over the past two years without sending a sample to a testing facility... for $20, you know that the new oil is going to properly lubricate. |
