Been searching "ZDriver" and other sites.
Tried all that I've read.
91 TT, won't start. All injectors are working, pulled out the fuel rail and turned the CAS and all the injectors squirted fuel.
All coil packs have spark. Pulled each one, inserted spark plug and got spark. New timing belt, double checked marks and all dots line up on the timing belt backing plate. Battery has 575 CCA. (new) The only code is "34" Knock sensor. This is a engine transplant, everything worked before the engine transplant. Old engine wanted to come indoors it knocked so hard. I changed the CAS, the newer engine"92" had a different plug on the CAS than the harness.
The car turns over fine, sounds like it wants to start, but just keeps turning over with a slight cough. Have tried moving the CAS ever so slighty to no avail. Having a hard time getting the timing light to work. Ran a regular plug wire inside the coil pack(#1) and no light yet.
Thanks

Instead of using the coil pack to get a signal (which is a weak signal to begin with because a timing light isn't used to signal wires but rather spark plug wires), use the black wire the loops out of the PTU harness (this wire is meant for timing). Check timing, let us know how it comes back.

Timing is set at 15 degrees.
Getting a little cough.

And are you sure that you have the coil pack and injector connectors on the correct cylinders?

Yes, it seems that my oil pressure gauge reads 120 when key is turned on.

Flooded? Pull the fuel pump relay and clear it out

Do a compression test.

This going to explain alot.
#1 50lbs
#2 0 lbs
#3 145 lbs
#4 140 lbs
Gave up after # 4. Checked with oil and without.
So it looks like a rebuild.
Will Nissan be my best source of parts?
Thanks for all the help.

LOL. Yeah, that's why it won't start. The moment you said your oil pressure was that high, I knew something was wrong on the inside.

Are you positive the timing belt is on correctly? Because if those timing marks aren't lined up perfectly, it could cause a valve to be open when the piston is in the compression stroke, resulting in that 0psi of compression. If there is a piston in the cylinder and the valve is closed during that stroke, there should be at least SOME compression reading... 0 tells me it might be the belt.

You said this was an engine transplant? Where the HELL did you get that engine? 0psi of compression is basically unheard of... I'm interested to see what that piston/cylinder head looks like if the timing is correct. As for where to get parts... yeah, Nissan... but you might want to try going through a supplier like Specialty Z (specialtyz.com) or Import Parts Pro (importpartspro.com) because they usually have better prices. Don't buy stuff until you know what you have to replace, if anything. I really think it's your timing belt.

Pulled the timing covers off and all marks are spot on. Before putting the engine in the car I changed the cam seals. Not knowing the whole history of this engine. Is it possible to mix the cam gears from left to right? When I changed the seals, doing one at a time makes me wonder if a P.O. could of done this. I know that the cams have a line up pin so the gears will only fit one way.
Thanks again
