The search is over!!!!!!

i found my z32!!! 1995 arctic white pearl slicktop. 85xxx miles, and not a door dent or rock chip on the thing. even the black mouldings are still black. i love it. had to go to central oregon to get it, so i got a nice 500 mile drive in tonight. of course, the fates would not let my day be all glory. as i was driving home, i got pulled over for 70 in a 60. it was one of those stupid places where the speed drops for a mile or two, and they set every cop in town there as a speed trap. it was dark as hell, and all the semis around me were kicking up tons of spray so i missed the sign that said the speed changed. i had no idea i was speeding, hell, i was on cruise control, dead on 70. i'm sure going to fight this one, it's total BS, only problem is i have to drive like 120 miles to go to the courthouse down there. whatever, it's worth it to keep my record spotless. way to rain on my parade Mr. Officer. oh well, i've got my z32 now, so it's all good. i'll get pics up as soon as i can. this thing is spotless.

no thanks. no need to yank out a motor thats in great shape. and i dont need any more tickets!

got it for $9500. the only flaws i can find are a bit of curb rash on the wheels, some very minor wear on the shift boot and steering wheel, and a small worn area on the passenger floor mat. paint and body are perfect, and you could eat off the engine. even the undercairrage is clean. the 3rd brake light panel is still black and has no cracks. even has the original bose stereo, although i think that will go away in favor of something with a cd player. it is far better than any of the others i have looked at, and cheaper than some in half the condition. oh, i am missing the keyless entry remote, anyone know where i can get one without getting gouged. i would rather not get the knockoff one from ebay.

also, i never have to worry that i will see the same car driving around all over the place. i looked it up on the z32 registry, it seems that in 1995 only 14 identical cars were ever made. thats considering color, slicktop, emissions and everything.

CC and WhtFairlady, thanks for the welcome to the slicktop club. it feels good to know that i have a little edge over the t-top NAs.

as for the ticket, i have an otherwise clear record. do you guys think i should fight it, or just get the deferral to keep it off my record? it would be a shame to use up my deferral for something that stupid.

Hey Entropy, I'll tell you right now. Ignorance is no excuse for the law. That is the way they'll see it. You were going 70 in a 60, even though you had no idea. It sucks, but that is why they call it a trap. I'd just pay it. As for the car, looks real nice. I wish I could have got something in that condition and low miles for my n/a. But, you do get what you pay for. Anyway, I'll talk to you later. Oh yeah, sorry I missed your call, I was dead tired. Later.

Man i love this car. i was at work today, at a grocery store. i was in the second chekstand from the front of the store, and a customer in the first checkstand noticed the Z through the window. he mentioned it to the checker, and he told the guy that it was mine. the guy turned around and would'nt quit asking questions about it. of course the first thing out of his mouth, just like everyone else, was "is it a turbo???". he even pointed it out to his kid and wife and told them what a cool car it is. i could see the car from where i was, and saw a few people stop and look at it. it feels so awesome to have a car that brings that kind of reaction.

LoL, that is the greatest feeling. And get used to that question, I have yet to meet someone who failed to say that first off when talking about my car...oh well.

Glad your enjoying your new Z, I'm glad to see such a well maintained Z end up in the hands of someone who has so much respect for them.

Isn't that an awesome feeling?! I get that everywhere I go with the 280. It's a real conversation piece. I especially love it when me and the gang are hanging out at Starbucks and we have anywhere from 5-10 Z cars all lined up and there's at least one from every generation and my car still gets all the looks and compliments It really pisses off my buddy with the 350Z. I alway's tell him, "See, you're paying almost five hundred bucks a month for a car that might as well be invisible, Mine's paid for!" He really hates that. I hope that once I get my new Z32 on the road that it get's half the attention my 280 does. I'll be working on it again this weekend so hopefully it will be at least driveable very soon. I want to put some miles on it so I can guage how strong the motor is and choose a direction for the next project on it. If it runs good after the water pump and timing belt job, I'll most likely drop it off at the body shop for some much needed love and attention. Then it's off to my shop where I'll be putting on my set of 7 spoke 350Z 17" wheels (Brand new take-offs) and some really sticky tires. ... ... ... ... ... Rod.

Yeah, I get the turbo question all the time with my n/a. But, now I just say that the turbo is in the garage. Then they ask why I have two of them. "Sigh", they just don't understand.
