Question On Low Mileage 300ZX Value...
Hey everyone. I just came across a very low mileage 300zx. It's a 1991 turbo manual with only 10,xxx miles. I was hoping you guys can give me some insight on what the value of the car is. I'm not sure how much over KBB they usually go for. Of course this is super rare for the low milage. The guy is asking $22,900 obo.
Haven't checked the CarFax yet. Let's just assume it's clean since he is the second owner and says he purchased from a Nissan dealership back in 2012.
Thanks!

that owner is a firm believer in the greater fool theory. if you wish to be the greater fool buy it quick. My Nismo (#1415) cost me 23K had 11109 on the odo. looked like it just came off the factory floor. z32 is a pretty car but they don't command that kind of money. keep in mind the car is old enough to drink. Kbb is usually high on Z's. your talking a guy that wants a z32 bad enough to cough up that kind of cash. very special customer. Jay Leno maybe

Welcome to ZDriver!
To me, fishy that he's selling it after only 2 years. Something isn't right. Did you get a Carfax report to verify the mileage? What's his story?
Anyway, it's still a 23 yr-old car. All those original parts are that old - which ain't young. If you get to drive it (you have to do that, buddy) you should feel a brand new Z under you, hardly broken in. Be finicky about this. Everything still tight, no weird noises, nothing questionable, everything still perfect.
I still think it's way too much money for a Z that old - just my opinion. He may be turning the bargain he got into the bargain you're not getting now. Good luck

Ditto
I have to agree with rogerz, that is a museum piece price, other than low miles it would have to have something very special about it to demand such a price. The only time KBB works in your favor is when you are selling a car, I can tell you one thing, insurance companies and adjusters do not take KBB serious with our cars.
